Parenting Coaching

“Family pathology rolls from generation to generation like a fire in the woods taking down everything in its path until one person, in one generation, has the courage to turn and face the flames. That person brings peace to his ancestors and spares the children that follow.” — Terry Real

Some of us were lucky enough to have parents that set a good example. But others grew up in homes where the dynamic between child and parent was anything but functional or consistently loving.

But the truth is, even if you did have loving parents that did right by you 24/7, you can never be fully prepared to handle sticky situations with your own children. You never really know what behavioral challenges your child may wind up struggling with, and how those will affect your other children and the family as a whole.

This is Parenting coaching is offered simultaneously with child and teen therapy. It is important to have monthly or bi-monthly sessions with parents to make sure therapy is moving in the right direction.

Parenting coaching helps you choose a goal (get my child to do their homework without a daily tantrum) and offers  techniques to help get the outcomes you desire.

Are you dealing with daily struggles such as:

  • Morning routines
  • Homework struggles

        Dealing with a strong-willed child

  • Guiding a child with Attention Deficit issues
