Most people think therapy is about analyzing the past.

But real change often happens in the present moment.

Not by going over the story again and again—

but by noticing what is happening right now in your body.

In this kind of work, we focus on:

• what your body is doing in real time

• how your posture, breath, and tension shift

• moments of collapse, tightening, or subtle “lift”

• the impulses to move toward, pull away, or shut down

Because your patterns aren’t just memories.

They are active processes happening in the present.

You’re not just someone who once felt unsupported.

You may notice your body dropping or bracing right now in connection.

You’re not just someone who used to shut down.

You might feel that shutdown begin—in real time, in your chest, your breath, your posture.

And that’s where change becomes possible.

Not by forcing a different thought.

But by:

• noticing the shift

• staying with it

• gently experimenting with something new

Maybe your body collapses—and you bring in support.

Maybe you tense—and you allow a small release.

Maybe you pull back—and you stay 2 seconds longer.

Small changes. Real time.

Because transformation doesn’t happen in theory.

It happens in the moment your pattern begins—and you meet it differently.
